Israeli so-called National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied Al-Quds on Wednesday, as the Israeli occupation forces continue raids and oppressive measures across the West Bank.
As he stormed the holy compound, Ben-Gvir prayed for “victory in the war, the destruction of Hamas and the return of the hostages”.

For his part, Preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ikrima Sabri warned of an escalation in Israeli incursions and violations at Al-Aqsa in the coming days.
“The Israeli occupation authorities imposed a tight siege on the city of Al-Quds and isolated it from its surroundings,” he said in remarks carried by Palestinian media.

Under the status quo in place since the Israeli regime occupied East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) in 1967, only Muslims are allowed to pray at the site, while a Waqf (Islamic endowment) manages it, and Israeli occupation forces maintain security.
Ben-Gvir has repeatedly violated the arrangement since joining the Israeli cabinet, and the occupation’s enforcement of it has softened, with occupation forces always backing the ministers and Zionist settlers who do such provocative moves.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces shot a Palestinian young man with live ammunition in the city of Tarqumiyah, west of Al-Khalil (Hebron), in the southern occupied West Bank, according to the Wafa news agency.
The report said the 24-year-old was injured in the leg by Israeli bullets near the separation wall. The man was taken to hospital, where his injury was described as moderate.
The occupation forces also continued the raids and arrest campaign across the West Bank.
Palestinian media reported dozens of Palestinians were detained and interrogated, noting that the raids took place in the town of Hizma, northeast of Al-Quds, the village of At-Tahta, west of Ramallah, the Arroub refugee camp in the governorate of Al-Khalil, the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem and the city of Tulkarem.
Elsewhere in Nablus, Israeli occupation forces sent reinforcements to Balata refugee camp as an Israeli special force infiltrated into the camp. At least one Palestinian was injured in the raid, according to Palestinian media.
