Three people have been injured in an explosion at a restaurant in the center of the French city of Lyon on Tuesday morning.
Two of those hurt are reported to be in a serious condition after the explosion in the Rue de la Monnaie in the center of the city.
The Casabea restaurant posted on social media that a ‘technical issue’ was the cause of the explosion – engineers from Gaz de France are on the scene along with emergency services.
Local media reported that the cause was a gas leak in the restaurant’s kitchen.
A cordon has been set up, closing off the surrounding area.
