President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, condemned Israel’s continued violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement in wake of its new massacre in Bint Jbeil.
“While we are in New York to discuss peace and human rights issues, Israel is continuing its ongoing violations of international resolutions, most notably the cessation of hostilities agreement, by committing a new massacre in Bint Jbeil, which claimed the lives of five martyrs, including three children,” he said in a statement.
President Aoun called on “the international community, whose leaders are present in the halls of the United Nations, to exert every effort to stop violations of international resolutions, especially the states sponsoring the November 27, 2024 declaration, and to pressure Israel to withdraw from Lebanese territory and abide by the aforementioned declaration.”
“There is no peace over the blood of our children,” he affirmed.

House Speaker Nabih Berri denounceي the Israeli massacre in Bint Jbeil, South Lebanon, which has left 5 martyrs, including 3 children, affirming that the Israeli barbarism threatens the international peace and security.
“The blood of the martyrs was shed in cold blood in full view of the ceasefire monitoring committee, following its meeting in Naqoura in the presence of US envoy Morgan Ortagus.”
He added, “The blood of these children, their father, and their wounded mother, who hold American citizenship, is on the conscience of those gathered in Naqoura, and on the conscience of the global demonstration that has begun to gather at the United Nations headquarters.”
He asked, “Is it Lebanese childhood that poses an existential threat to the Israeli entity? Or is it this entity’s behavior of killing without deterrence or accountability that poses a real threat to international peace and security?”

PM Nawaf Salam, in turn, called on the international community to denounce the Israeli crime against the civilians who returned to their villages in South Lebanon.
The international community must press ‘Israel’ to withdraw from South Lebanon, halt its attacks and release the Lebanese prisoners, Salam added.

Member of Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc, MP Hasan Fadlallah, issued a statement which indicated that he Israeli enemy committed a heinous crime against civilians, including children, in Bint Jbeil, adding to its record of crimes that fall under the purview of the ceasefire monitoring committee, which has become a false witness to the enemy’s constant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
“This committee has not provided any guarantee for Lebanon, while the Lebanese state stands, at best, incapable of taking any practical step. Perhaps the justified cry of the southerners will reach the ears of the responsible officials to move to stop this violation of their pure blood. It has been proven to them once again that resorting to official protection under international sponsorship did not provide them with security and stability.”
“All these attacks and acts of killing carried out by the enemy will not push our people to give up their land and rights. On the contrary, they will increase the people of the south’s adherence to the option of resistance because it is the option that liberated the land and protected its people,” MP Fadlallah affirmed.
