The necessity of “steadfastness and adherence to the option of resistance, in light of the ongoing Israeli attacks, the continued occupation of some Lebanese areas, the enemy’s refusal to release prisoners, and the systematic American support for this aggression.”
Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance bloc MP Hussein Hajj Hasan underlined importance of sticking to the option of resistance in light of continuous Israeli aggression.
In remarks carried by Al-Manar on Saturday, MP Hajj Hasan said the “Israeli enemy goes ahead with attacks violating the Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire, continues to occupy several Lebanese areas and refuses to releases Lebanese prisoners, amid a systematic US support.”
“Sticking to the option of resistance, and confronting the political and media attacks within the framework of a comprehensive national strategic vision, is no longer an option, but rather a national need to withstand imminent dangers,” the Hezbollah lawmaker told a local ceremony in Baalbeck.
Meanwhile, MP Hajj Hasan said that the current electoral law is the applicable one.
In this context, he noted that some demands regarding diaspora vote “hold intentions of domination and exclusion, especially given the lack of equal opportunity between candidates and voters in countries that support the Zionist enemy.”
“The patriotic powers in Lebanon is keen to ensure the diaspora vote, but in a way that guarantees fairness and equal opportunities for all,” MP Hajj Hasan stated.
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following a brutal 66-day Israeli war between September and November 2024.
