Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Monday that Tehran does not interfere in Lebanon’s internal affairs but remains prepared for “all circumstances” regarding potential confrontations with ‘Israel’.
In a press interview, the senior diplomat said “Tehran does not interfere in Lebanon’s internal affairs,” Araghchi stated, while clarifying that Iran reserves the right to voice its opinions on broader Middle Eastern issues.
Araqchi emphasized that “real interference is when someone occupies Lebanese territory or proposes strange and bizarre plans to undermine Lebanon.”
In another context, Araqchi said that what the US-Zionist attacks on nuclear facilities failed to achieve will not be achieved in any future negotiations with the US administration, stressing that Tehran remains ready to enter into fair and just negotiations regarding its nuclear program.
