Head of Hezbollah Executive Council, Sheikh Ali Daamoush, affirmed Sunday that upholding the path of resistance is one of the key ways to remain committed to Imam Hussein’s (A.S.) cause.
During the central Ashura commemoration at Sayyed Al-Shuhada Compound, Sheikh Daamoush added that this applies especially now, as the Zionist entity spreads its terror and crimes, most recently through its aggression against the Islamic Republic and its attempts to destabilize it.
“We responded to the call of Imam Hussein (A.S.), and our proof is our martyrs — foremost among them the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah, the Hashemite martyr, and all the other martyrs. We will always repeat: ‘I will never abandon you, O Hussein’.”
Sheikh Daamoush maintained that the Islamic Republic turned the aggression into a war of attrition against the enemy, adding that Iran’s missile power reached its targets — something the Zionists are not used to see inside their entity.
“The Islamic Republic did not lose its capabilities, nor its nuclear program, nor did it allow the enemy to destabilize its system. Iran emerged from this aggressive war stronger and more united, with all segments of the Iranian people rallying behind it — a fact witnessed by the entire world.”
‘Israel’ has realized that the goal of toppling the Islamic regime in Iran is unattainable — it is nothing but an illusion, his eminence emphasized.
“Iran has overcome all sanctions, pressures, and crises, and has advanced and flourished in all fields — in knowledge, technology, and defense. Despite all the malicious conspiracies, Iran continues its path with strength and determination.”
Sheikh Daamoush stressed that the continued and intensified aggression in Lebanon aims to pressure the resistance’s environment, attempting to force it to abandon its support, but that “our response — and yours — has always been increased patience, commitment, and unity around the resistance”.
“A resistance whose leaders and fighters embody the spirit of martyrdom — who have offered their leaders as martyrs — will never submit. A resistance embraced by its people cannot be crushed or subdued. It was, remains, and will continue to be. The strategy of patience adopted by the resistance does not mean weakness; this resistance is a vital necessity in the face of unprecedented American and ‘Israeli’ arrogance.”
Resistance means that Lebanon holds on to all sources of strength to prevent the country from being dragged into the scenarios of Gaza or Syria, Sheikh Daamoush maintained.
“Some call on us to accept Israel’s occupation of part of our land and move toward normalization — but this is impossible so long as there is an honorable resistance and fighters who preserve the dignity of the nation and the Lebanese people.”
Look at those who complied with American or Israeli conditions — all they’ve received is crumbs, his eminence indicated.
“Those who seek to drag Lebanon into normalization are trying to push it into a new form of strife that serves the enemy’s interests. The enemy’s objective is to pressure Lebanon into the normalization path, which will only lead to paralysis and the destruction of the [Lebanese] state.
Hezbollah also affirmed that the Resistance Party has paid 80% of the compensations for the owners of the houses and apartments destroyed or damaged by the Israeli war, adding that the Lebanese public is not handling the reconstruction file seriously.
