US President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday it had “obliterated” Iran’s main nuclear sites in strikes overnight, in a major new escalation of the confrontation with the Zionist entity, as the Islamic Republic warned of “everlasting consequences.”
Trump, in a televised address to the US people, flanked by Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, called the strikes a “spectacular military success” that had taken out Iran’s three principal nuclear sites: Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow.
He warned Tehran it would face “more devastating attacks if it did not agree to peace.”
“There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days,” Trump said. “Remember, there are many targets left.”
Iran Warns
On its part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the “events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences.”
He called the US strikes a “grave violation” of the U.N. charter, international law and the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
“Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people,” Araghchi posted on X.
The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations.

In another post on X, the top Iranian diplomat said the US decided to blow up diplomacy, wondering: “How can Iran return to something it never left?” referring to negotiation table.
Last week, we were in negotiations with the US when Israel decided to blow up that diplomacy.
This week, we held talks with the E3/EU when the US decided to blow up that diplomacy.
What conclusion would you draw?
To Britain and the EU High Rep, it is Iran which must “return”…

Later on Sunday, a senior Iranian source told Reuters that most of the highly enriched uranium stored at the Fordow nuclear facility was moved to an undisclosed location ahead of the US strikes.
The source added that the number of personnel at the site had also been reduced to a minimum in anticipation of a potential attack.
