President Aoun affirmed that “the train of Lebanon’s resurrection has already begun, and anyone with a sense of national responsibility will not obstruct this progress.” He emphasized the need for a measured and responsible approach to crucial issues, particularly regarding civil peace.
“We must handle the issue with care and responsibility, as it is essential to maintaining civil peace, and I will carry this responsibility in cooperation with the government.”

Arms and State Control
Regarding the matter of arms, Aoun reiterated that the decision to restrict weapons to the state has already been made, but the timing of its implementation depends on the prevailing circumstances.
“We will implement this decision when the conditions are right.”
The Lebanese president also highlighted the ongoing battle against corruption, stating that “the most important battle in Lebanon is the fight against corruption and ensuring that the right judges are in the right positions.” He emphasized that the process of building the state has already begun, with the “train of state-building in motion.”
On Hezbollah and Sheikh Qassem’s Speech
When asked about Hezbollah and the recent speech by the party’s Deputy Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Aoun clarified that such matters are not discussed publicly but through direct communication with the relevant parties. “When I addressed the issue of arms in my inaugural speech, I did not do so without purpose—this decision has already been made,” Aoun stated.
Dialogue and National Interests
President Aoun stressed that any controversial issue should only be addressed through dialogue, communication, and a candid approach. “The interests of Lebanon must be paramount to maintain civil peace,” he concluded.
