The handover took place at the Ras Naqoura border point, after which Chebli was transferred to a hospital in the southern city of Tyre for treatment.
He was abducted by Israeli soldiers on Sunday after they shot at him while he was in civilian clothing in Mazraat Bastara, a village near Kfar Shuba. His release was reportedly postponed due to his health condition.
Four other Lebanese captives, all civilians, were released by the Zionist occupation on Tuesday evening following a meeting of the cease-fire monitoring committee, which includes Lebanese, Israeli, American, French and UNIFIL representatives.
Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported on Tuesday that there are more eight Lebanese captives held by the Israeli occupation, noting that all of them are civilians.
