Hezbollah recalled on Thursday the 2006 July War divine victory, vowing unwavering resolute to defend Lebanon and Palestine with all might, employing all capabilities and surprises.
In a statement on the 18th anniversary of July War victory, Hezbollah’s Media Relations said: “The most honorable people recall the great July War, its Truthful Promise, its divine victory, and the martyrs who wrote, with their blood, the epic of sincere heroism and honorable defense of Lebanon and its people.”
The “most honorable people” is a term Sayyed Nasrallah used in 2006, when he called resistance supporters in Lebanon.
Hezbollah statement added that the “most honorable people recall the triumphant return on August 14, 2006,” when the Lebanese went back to their destroyed houses.
The Lebanese resistance group hailed resistance supporters whom it said had since 2006 “proceeded through a path whose key slogan was: Era of defeats has gone, it’s time for era of victories.”
“The memory of the July 2006 war has been deeply engraved in the Zionist consciousness and awareness, as the “Israeli” killing machine, with unlimited American support, an unprecedented international diplomatic campaign, and disgraceful internal collusion, failed to defeat the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon or break the will of its fighters after 33 days of deadly destruction across the Lebanese territories,” the statement read.
This failure, the statement added, reflected negatively on all aspects of the Israeli political life, its future plans, and on the Israelis’ morale, as well as on the image of ‘Israel’ as a temporary entity in its own eyes and before the entire world.
“The 2006 victory made the resistance a powerful force which the enemies, along with its allies, have been wary of,” the statement read.
“The resistance in Lebanon, along with all fronts in the Axis of Resistance, is still sticking to the firm principle of standing by the oppressed people of Palestine,” Hezbollah stressed.
“Despite Israeli threats, American aircraft carriers and targeted assassinations, as well as internal and external media campaigns, the resistance will unwaveringly continue, with courage and full strength, employing all its capabilities and surprises to defend Lebanon, its people, their freedom, and their right to a dignified life.”
Hezbollah, meanwhile, concluded its statement by stressing that the resistance “keeps its promises in the best way.”
