Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, its regular session chaired by MP Mohammad Raad and attended by its members to discuss a number of political and parliamentary issues and matters in Lebanon and the region.
In a statement issued after the meeting, Hezbollah bloc underlined the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza in coordination with the US administration, warning against Netanyahu’s scheme and dream of “Greater Israel”, encompassing Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and parts of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The statement also highlighted the persistent Israeli attacks on Lebanon amid the silence and negligence from the Lebanese authorities that, in turn, have continued their sin with a suspicious insistence on stripping the Lebanese people of their right to resist the occupation.
According to the statement, the Lebanese authorities are “manipulating the content of the National Accord Document to transform the problem with the Zionist enemy into an internal Lebanese crisis, summed up by an unpatriotic decision to disarm the resistance against the Zionist enemy, instead of adopting a comprehensive national strategic plan for the security and defense of Lebanon, protecting its sovereignty and its people, coordinating all activities and capabilities to achieve its goals, and blocking the path to improvised and dangerous positions and the rifts they cause in national unity and divisions that threaten the country’s security and stability.”
In light of the urgent developments and the dangers and threats they pose, the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, according to the state the following:
First, as we are just days away from the anniversary of the crime of the disappearance of His Eminence, the Imam of the Nation and the Resistance, Sayyed Moussa al-Sadr, and his brothers, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoub and Professor Abbas Badreddine, on August 31, 1978, we recall all the landmarks of the thorny path we have traversed toward proving our presence and effectiveness, and achieving victory, honor, and sovereignty for our people and homeland. We also look at all the plots of conspiracy, terrorism, and collusion that have been successively implemented against the resistance approach in Lebanon by those claiming independence and providing services to the enemy at the expense of the homeland and its honorable citizens. It is firmly established in our minds that the steadfastness of our stance and steadfastness in the national resistance approach has consistently defeated the goals of the enemy, its international protectors, and those who surrender to its will from among the ranks of free service providers promoting its projects.
On this painful anniversary, we renew our commitment to the path of resistance established by Imam Sayyed Moussa al-Sadr, which he launched for the free and honorable Lebanese to liberate their country and protect their sovereignty and independence. We affirm that Lebanon will remain a definitive homeland for all its people, impervious to occupation and partition, no matter how persistent tyranny and oppression may be. We, Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, will remain the two blades of the sword resisting invasion, aggression, and conspiracy, as well as two essential pillars of Lebanon’s unity and preserving its security, stability, and sovereignty.
The Lebanese government’s favoritism toward the enemy’s external supporters and its adoption of the sinful decision regarding the weapons of the resistance are against the nation’s supreme interest and contradict the preamble to the Constitution, the National Accord Document, its ministerial statement, and the Lebanese people’s legitimate right to self-defense in the face of occupation and aggression. Furthermore, this decision contradicts the historic national role of this rising resistance, which, with the help of the army, confronts its enemies. It is a major failure and a complete and unjustified submission to foreign dictates, particularly those from the United States, which prioritize the interests of the Zionist enemy above all other considerations.
The bloc stresses the necessity of reversing that decision, renouncing the sin of passing it, and insisting on stubbornly defending it.
The open declaration by the leaders of the Zionist enemy of their plots against Lebanon and the Lebanese is further clear evidence of their aggressive conspiratorial aims and a true indicator of the existential dangers facing Lebanon, the nation and the state. This requires the authorities to rise to the highest levels of responsibility and national awareness, and to preserve all elements of Lebanon’s capabilities, foremost among which is the resistance. This also requires the mobilization of all internal and external capabilities and friendships to secure the defense of Lebanon, the Lebanese, and national sovereignty.
The Bloc highly valued the official fraternal visit of the Secretary-General of the National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Ali Larijani, and expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation for the positive positions in support of Lebanon and its resistance, as well as Iran’s constant support for our beloved country and its honorable people, and their natural right to liberate their land and defend their homeland against the Zionist enemy and its expansionist and colonialist threat. The Bloc affirms that the systematic and programmed media and political campaigns, both at home and abroad, aimed at inciting against the resistance, its leaders, its role, its milieu, and its supporters will not change anything in reality, nor will they push us to alter our firm positions for even one iota. Furthermore, the campaigns of intimidation or disparagement only reveal the hidden motives of their proponents and expose their failed bets on the enemies of the homeland and its people.
The Bloc condemns the positions expressed by some parties, which are contrary to objectivity and fairness, while they should be expected to demonstrate the highest levels of reason, wisdom, and patriotism, committed to upholding truth and justice, and rejecting injustice, arrogance, occupation, and the daily assassination of the Lebanese.
The Bloc also believes that the level of awareness of the Lebanese people no longer matches the rhetoric that is unintentionally disseminated, provocative to the oppressed in particular, and which reeks of hateful racism and hatred that incite division and discord among our one people.
