A young Palestinian man from the al-Amari refugee camp, was martyred on Tuesday morning during an Israeli raid on Ramallah. Moataz Sarsour 22-year-old was critically wounded by Israeli gunfire to the chest and later pronounced dead at the Palestine Medical Complex.
The raid, which targeted the apartments of two imprisoned doctors, Aysar Barghouti and Khaled al-Kharouf, resulted in the demolition of their homes. Fierce confrontations ensued in the al-Tira and Umm al-Sharayet neighborhoods, leaving four Palestinians injured and one young man run over by a military vehicle.

With Sarsour’s death, the toll of Palestinians killed in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, has now reached 624, including 145 children and 9 women. These incidents are part of a concerning escalation of violence in the region, with daily incursions by settlers and occupation forces leading to widespread arrests, injuries, and fatalities.

United Nations spokesperson Farhan Haq condemned the actions of Israeli occupation soldiers, highlighting the killing of 16 Palestinians, including two children, and the injury of 56 others in just one week.
