Reports from Palestinian media outlets indicate that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have arrested dozens of Palestinian youths in the West Bank amidst escalating tensions. In the town of Dura, south of al-Khalil, at least seven youths were detained after their homes were raided and searched by the IOF. Simultaneously, a widespread arrest campaign was conducted in the town of Husan, near Beit Lahm, with authorities storming the area to apprehend suspects.

Confrontations in Nablus
The northern West Bank saw a clash between Palestinian Resistance fighters and the IOF in the eastern area of Nablus. The IOF’s attempt to secure the entry of settlers to Qaber Youssef led to tensions and subsequent confrontations. Resistance fighters targeted the invading forces with a locally-made explosive device during the standoff in Balata al-Balad, east of Nablus. Ambulance vehicles were obstructed by the IOF while attempting to enter the area, further escalating the situation.
IOF Raids Along West Bank
In various other towns across the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces conducted raids and faced Resistance fighters. Confrontations erupted in Aqaba and Deir Abu Da’if in Tubas and Jenin, respectively. The town of al-Auja, north of Areeha, saw Israeli occupation forces clashing with the Resistance, with gunfire and explosives exchanged. Similarly, incursions into Sinjil and Rumon, near Ramallah, led to confrontations and heightened tensions. In a separate incident, an Israeli army camp near Anata experienced a fire during a raid.

Journalist Arrested Amid Media Suppression
In a separate incident, Palestinian journalist Rasha Hirzallah was arrested by Israeli occupation forces from Nablus in the West Bank. Hirzallah, who worked with the WAFA news agency, was detained after being called in for questioning by Israeli security officials. The arrest has been condemned by the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate and official Palestinian media, who see it as part of an escalating crackdown on journalists. The international community has been urged to intervene and stop Israeli violations against Palestinian media workers.
This arrest comes in the context of ongoing suppression, with the Palestinian Prisoners Society revealing that 80 journalists have been arrested by the IOF since October 7. The targeting of journalists, their families, and media outlets has been part of a broader Israeli policy aimed at stifling Palestinian voices and silencing reports of Israeli atrocities.
