Reports indicate that Abu Alawi was shot by an Israeli sniper in the chin and neck while on the rooftop of his home, leaving behind a wife and an unborn child.
The raid was reportedly conducted by undercover Israeli occupation police officers in the nearby town of Tulkarm to apprehend three wanted Palestinians. However, the incursion led to intense confrontations with Palestinian resistance fighters, including the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – Rapid Response Group, who successfully repelled the Israeli occupation forces using live ammunition and explosives.

As the Israeli occupation military faced heavy Resistance fire, they were forced to retreat from the camp. In a simultaneous raid on the Jenin refugee camp, at least two Palestinians were injured, with one in critical condition. The violence sparked confrontations in the town of Kafr Rai, where additional arrests were made.
