Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, the official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, made a significant announcement regarding military operations in the region at dawn on Sunday.
The Yemeni Navy successfully targeted the American oil ship MV “TORM THOR” with a series of naval missiles in the Gulf of Aden.
Simultaneously, the Air Force targeted American warships in the Red Sea using drones.
Brigadier General Sarie emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces are prepared to counter any escalation by the American and British forces with further strategic military operations against all hostile targets in the Red Sea and Arab Bahrain.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their unwavering support for the Palestinian people and affirmed that their military operations will continue until the aggression against Yemen ceases, and the siege on Gaza is lifted. “These operations are in response to the ongoing aggression and blockade against Yemen, as well as in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza,” he reiterated.
In the statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces declared, “In response to the calls of our great Yemeni people for victory over the oppression of the Palestinian people and in response to the American-British aggression against our country, the naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God Almighty, carried out a qualitative military operation through which they targeted an American oil ship in the Gulf of Aden with a number of suitable naval missiles.”
Shortly after Saree’s statement, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced it received a report about an incident 70 nautical miles east of the port of Djibouti.

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have intensified their operations against Israeli and Israeli-bound ships in support of the people of Gaza, forcing some companies to seek alternative routes, including a two-week detour around the tip of southern Africa.
The YAF clarified that they target only clear and specific military targets related to the Israeli enemy.
However, they have expanded their targets to include American and British forces following their involvement in the aggression against Yemen. The YAF reiterated that no other countries are being targeted.
The US and UK launched aggression on Yemen under the pretext of ensuring the safety of international maritime trade routes, but it has led to the militarization of the waterway. In response, the YAF Navy targeted US and UK naval assets, as well as US or UK-affiliated merchant vessels.
During operations on February 18 and 19, the YAF’s Navy and Air Defense forces targeted three merchant ships in the Red Sea and downed a top-of-the-line US-operated MQ-9 multirole drone. One of the ships targeted on February 18, the UK-owned RUBYMAR, remains half-sunk in the Red Sea and was carrying large quantities of ammonium nitrate.
Civilian Killed in US-UK Attack
A Yemeni civilian was killed and six others injured in airstrikes conducted by American-British warplanes on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and other governorates on Sunday.
Local sources in Taez reported that the victims, all from the same family, were killed in the Shamir area of the Maqbana District in Taiz Governorate.
Earlier in the day, American-British aircraft carried out air attacks on various areas in Sana’a and other governorates.
A Yemeni military source stated, “The renewed airstrikes by the American-British aggression are an attempt to hinder Yemen’s support operations for the Palestinian people in Gaza.”
Iran Condemns
In a statement on Sunday, Iran strongly condemned the US-British aggression against Yemen, with Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani saying that the duo proved their support for war crimes and genocide committed in Gaza.
“With such attacks, America and Britain seek to escalate tensions and crises in the region, and expand the scope of war and instability,” he said.
He further added that “certainly, this kind of arbitrary and aggressive military operation, aside from aggravating insecurity and instability in the region, will not achieve anything for these aggressor countries”.
Symbolic March
In a significant display of commitment, a specialized unit of the YAF undertook a symbolic march on foot from the capital, Sanaa, to the coastal province of Hodeidah along the Red Sea, covering a distance of 200 km over six consecutive days.
The march, named “The Promised Victory and Holy Jihad,” symbolizes Sanaa’s resolve to confront the “triad of evil” consisting of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel.
This event was part of a series of drills and marches ordered by Sanaa’s military command to enhance the combat readiness of its forces. These drills include exercises for anti-armor units, commando units, and popular mobilization forces.
