On the 88th day of the Israeli occupation’s war in the Gaza Strip, devastating news emerged from the region. Media in Gaza reported that the Israeli aggression had taken the lives of numerous Palestinians, including innocent women and children.

This brutal attack also left hundreds wounded and caused significant damage to buildings and infrastructure. Throughout the night, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) targeted Palestinian neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip using fighter jets and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

These airstrikes not only resulted in loss of life and injuries, but also caused further destruction to essential structures. In addition to the aerial assault, Israeli occupation tanks shelled the north of the Maghazi camp in the center of the Strip. Meanwhile, IOF gunboats unleashed heavy fire on the central governorate in the Gaza Strip.

The situation further escalated as occupation fighter jets launched violent strikes on the center and east of Khan Younis, located in the south of the Strip, while artillery shelled the city’s northern neighborhoods. Tragedy struck in Deir al-Balah, located in the center of the Gaza Strip, when an Israeli fighter jet targeted a residence housing several Palestinians, predominantly women and children.

The deadly strike claimed the lives of 15 Palestinians and left others wounded. Reports of martyrs also surfaced from Nuseirat, another location in the center of the Strip. Here, the IOF targeted a house, resulting in casualties and injuries within a large family. It is essential to highlight that since October 7, Israeli occupation forces have been responsible for the deaths of over 100 journalists in Gaza. This disturbing trend further demonstrates the extent of the violence and brutality inflicted upon innocent civilians.
Resistance Strikes Down Israeli Soldiers: Gaza Strip Continues to Defend Itself
As the Israeli occupation forces unleashed their aggression upon the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Resistance has continued to fight back and defend its land. Multiple soldiers have been killed and injured as the Resistance confronts the Israeli occupation forces across the region.
Throughout the Israeli ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, fighters from various Resistance factions have conducted operations that have inflicted heavy casualties among the IOF ranks. In December, the occupation expanded its invasion to encompass multiple areas in the central and southern districts of the Gaza Strip.

Despite the Israeli military’s attempt to overpower the situation by deploying seven battalions into Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, the Resistance remains resilient. Israeli occupation forces still maintain an active presence in Gaza City, particularly in the al-Tuffah and al-Daraj neighborhoods. However, the Resistance has proven its determination, using ingenious and effective ambush strategies to confront and resist the Israeli occupation forces.
