Five Palestinian youths were tragically killed by gunfire from Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during a series of raids in the West Bank. The incident occurred in the Safha area, west of the town of Azzun, and east of Qalqilya.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, known as the Louyouth al-Majd or Lions of Glory, have mourned the loss of Iyad Shubita, Qusay Adwan, Walid Radwan, and Muhammad Radwan, who were bravely fighting for their cause. According to reports, the martyrs were cornered in a building before their final encounter with the IOF. Al Quds News Network revealed audio recordings provided by the martyrs, in which they expressed their plight and declared their faith before the tragic sound of gunfire.
The martyrs were armed with a locally renowned gun named Carlo, an improvised submachine gun created by workshops in the Palestinian territories. In a distressing turn of events, the bodies of the martyrs were taken by the IOF, further adding to the grief of their families and supporters.
This incident comes amidst an escalation of violence in the West Bank, as the IOF conducted numerous raids across different cities and refugee camps. Resistance fighters confronted the Israeli incursions, engaging in intense confrontations with the occupying forces.
In the city of Jenin, the Resistance fighters resisted the IOF, launching explosive devices and engaging in gunfire. The occupation forces ultimately retreated in the face of their fierce opposition. Similar incidents occurred in Nablus, where Resistance fighters targeted Israeli military posts and repelled forces during their incursion into Beit Furik.
Qalqilya also witnessed multiple incursions, with the IOF raiding homes and obstructing medical aid for injured Palestinians. Confrontations erupted between Resistance fighters and the occupying forces in the towns of Kafr Qaddum and Azzun. The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Qalqilya confirmed that an Israeli soldier was injured as a result of their resistance.
Moreover, the town of Areeha saw Palestinian Resistance fighters exchanging gunfire with the IOF as they stormed the Ain al-Sultan and Aqabat Jabr refugee camps. In the central West Bank, the IOF conducted raids and arrests in the town of Ni’lin and the al-Jalazone refugee camp. The city of al-Dhahiriya in al-Khalil also faced an incursion by Israeli forces.
The situation remains tense in the West Bank, as Palestinian residents struggle against the relentless and violent raids by the IOF. The loss of five young lives serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing conflict and the toll it takes on the lives of individuals and communities.
