One Zionist soldier was killed, and seven others, including six soldiers, were wounded in a shooting raid on the Tunnel Checkpoint south of the occupied Al-Quds early Thursday.
The Zionist media mentioned that three Palestinian attackers, who opened fire, were killed.
The Israeli media indicated that the three Palestinian attackers arrived by a car to the checkpoint where a clash erupted and left them martyred.
Israeli medics, in turn, noted that seven Zionists were wounded, one critical, in the attack.
The Zionist police cordoned off the scene of the operation after suspecting the presence of a bomb there.
Al-Qassam Brigades issued a statement in which it claimed the responsibility for the raid on the Tunnel Checkpoint south of the occupied Al-Quds.
“A dedicated group from Al-Qassam targeted the enemy forces at the military checkpoint separating northern Bethlehem and south of occupied Al-Quds. With the help of Allah, they managed to kill and wound several Zionist soldiers in retaliation for the martyrs’ blood in glorious Gaza.”
The Israeli occupation forces, meanwhile, attacked several cities and villages in the West Bank, arresting a large number of Palestinians.
