Despite the peaceful gathering, the city of Jerusalem faced threats of violence as occupation military checkpoints were set up around the Old Military City, the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Confrontations in Shuafat Refugee as IOF Remove Banners and Flags
Palestinian young men clashed with the Israeli occupation forces in the Shuafat refugee camp in occupied Jerusalem after IOF stormed the camp and removed banners and flags that were hung in the streets.
Meanwhile, the Tulkarm Brigade announced that its resistance fighters had taken action against the “Tsanoz” checkpoint in the northern occupied West Bank, targeting it with heavy and successive salvoes of bullets at dawn on Friday. The fighters also directed Israeli reconnaissance planes over the city’s camp.
Further north, in the city of Qalqilya, a number of Palestinian youths threw stones at illegal Israeli settlers’ vehicles at the entrance to the town of Azzun, east of the city, and slightly injured a settler in the head. In the meantime, Israeli occupation forces stormed the town and seized camera recordings from the shops at the entrance to the town before withdrawing.
