Russian President Vladimir Putin chatted with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan over the phone and is scheduled to hold another phone-call later in the day, Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.
“Putin held a telephone call with President of Turkey Erdogan. We will soon publish our traditional statement on this in the near future,” Peskov stated.
The Russian presidential spokesman added that President Putin intended to make another international phone call later this afternoon.
Earlier, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirisci said that the Turkish leader wanted to speak with his Russian colleague about the issues of delivering food products and fertilizers from Russia to needy countries within the framework of the grain deal.
