Speaking in separate telephone conversations with Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Mokhber appreciated the bravery of the resilient people of Lebanon.

He underlined the importance of peace and stability in Lebanon, saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran will support any initiative that is effective for Lebanon’s political, economic, and security stability.

We will not withhold any assistance to the nation and government of Lebanon, he added.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese speaker and PM stressed the importance of strengthening friendly relations between the two countries in all fields. They called on Iran to supply energy for Lebanon.

Both Lebanese leaders also invited Mokhber to visit Lebanon in line with developing cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Iranian foreign minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian reiterated, during his meeting with Amal Movement command delegation in Tehran, his country’s offer to help Lebanon cope with its power outage crisis.

In this regard, the Lebanese energy minister Walid Fayyad formed a high-ranking technical delegation to visit Tehran in order to discuss the Iranian offer based on establishing two power plants in Beirut and Southern Lebanon and granting Lebanon a fuel donation.
