Palestinian Resistance in Gaza has been since Friday pounding the occupied territories in retaliation for the brutal Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave.
Rocket launches began shortly before 9 PM on Friday, with sirens blaring in southern Israeli settlements near the border with Gaza as well as Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Yavne, Israeli media reported.
By Saturday morning, over 160 rockets were launched by the Islamic Jihad resistance group with 130 crossing into the occupied territories.
Meanwhile, the Israeli aggression against the coastal enclave went ahead, with occupation military saying Air Force jets, armed drones, helicopters and tanks carried out over 40 strikes on Gaza.
By dawn on Saturday, at least 10 Palestinians were martyred, including a 5-year-old girls, a 23-year-old woman, and a senior Islamic Jihad commander Tayseer Al-Jaabari, Palestinian media reported.
Later on Saturday morning, a Palestinian young man was martyred in an Israeli strike on Khan Younes.
The escalation started at noon on Friday as the Israeli occupation announced it has begun so-called ‘Operation Breaking Dawn’, by assassinating Al-Jaabari.
Shortly after the Al-Jaabari was pronounced martyred, the Islamic Jihad announced that the Israeli occupation military is launching a war, vowing to confront the new aggression.
Hamas voiced full support to the Islamic Jihad, cutting the road against Israeli attempts to make divisions between Palestinian resistance movements.
