Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah slammed on Tuesday the American false promises for the transfer of natural gas and electricity from Egypt and Jordan to Lebanon.
Addressing Hezbollah Central Ashura mourning ceremony in Dahiyeh, Sayyed Nasrallah said that one year has passed since the US ambassador’s promise, but nothing has actually happened. “After a few days, the memory of the false promise of the American ambassador [Dorothy Shea] to bring gas from Egypt and electric energy from Jordan through Syria rekindles,” he said.
Hezbollah Secretary General pointed out that the latest round of talks between the Lebanese officials and the US mediator Amos Hochstein is reportedly positive, underling that the stance of the Resistance and that of the state are in harmony regarding rejecting the Israeli procrastination.
“There is a 50 % chance that the situation could be resolved, and a 50 % chance that the situation could be plunged towards war,” he added.
The Hezbollah leader noted that the movement was waiting for the Lebanese state’s decision concerning the fuel donation from Iran, calling on those opposed to Iranian fuel to go and bring fuel, flour and diesel fuel from their allies in America, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
“We will continue with the methodology of finding solutions,” Sayyed Nasrallah vowed as he voiced Hezbollah readiness to help the Lebanese state import the Iranian fuel, lashing out at the negative comments of some political parties who have shown indifference about the agonies of the Lebanese people.
Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted the media warfare waged against the resistance supporters who are being falsely told that the Resistance is starving them, underlining the importance of steadfastness in this regard.
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that Hezbollah, since emergence, has been a resistance movement in the various fields on the path of Imam Hussein (P). He said that the United States and ‘Israel’ are the embodiment of evil, adding that the struggle against them will keep up.
Sayyed Nasrallah further emphasized that Hezbollah will not allow anyone to take Lebanon into a civil war, underscoring the internal stability.
