Iran lashed back at Saudi Arabia, saying Riyadh is to blame for chaos in the region and that it has to revise its regional policy.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Saturday that Saudi government support for Takfiri terrorist groups has led the region to chaos.
Qasemi made the remarks in reaction to an allegation made by Saudi defense minister and heir apparent against Iran.
The regional players which should correct their behavior to help bring calm and peace to the world, it is the Saudi government which should stop its organized support to Takfiri terrorist groups, he said, according to IRNA news agency.
The Saudi government is responsible for complicity in the crimes being perpetrated against people in Syria, Iraq and Yemen and also for adopting identical stand with the Zionsit regime and the treasons against Muslims mainly those in Arab world and against the Palestinian cause, he said.
Instead of putting the blames on others, the Saudi government should revise its regional policy and mind the consequences of its actions.
