Head of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said that the upcoming elections is a political battle, stressing that despite all forms of pressure, the Resistance party will rebuild the country.
In a local ceremony in the town of Yuhmur on Tuesday, MP Raad noted that many sides in Lebanon have been working to keep Hezbollah away from the political scene and to secure parliamentary majority in order to continue implementing their own agendas and to introduce laws that allow normalization deals with Zionist entity.
“The upcoming vote is a political battle during which we will deliver a message to the external enemies that says: Even if you starve us we won’t shake. Whatever you do, you will not break our will and our steadfastness. We will rebuild our country as we want, not as you want,” MP Raad said in remarks carried by Al-Manar.
Meanwhile, the Hezbollah lawmaker pointed to US pressures on Lebanon regarding the gas drilling in the country’s offshore.
“We have international offers to explore for our offshore gas with low cost, but the US has been refusing and intending to impose the company it prefers with high cost on our county. Washington has been blackmailing Lebanon with the Israeli enemy.”
“However, such schemes are futile since Lebanon has a Resistance that possesses missiles and drones,” MP Raad stressed.
