Well-informed sources told Al-Manar TV that the Lebanese government would not convene before the judicial performance gets straightened, adding that no new developments had been reported in this regard.
The same sources denied the reports that a deal had been reached to reactivate the government, adding that the prime minister Najib Mikati suspended his endeavors aimed at finding a political solution.
The judicial authorities are facilitating the solution, according to the same sources, which highlighted the importance of separating the presidents’ and ministers’ trials from the Beirut Port blast investigations.
It is worth noting that the politicized investigation into Beirut Port blast has disturbed and disrupted the government sessions.
Hezbollah has repeatedly calling for recusing the judicial investigator into the blast Tarek Al-Bitar who adopted biased and illogical standards in the subpoenas and arrests to achieve political purposes.
On October 14, 2021, seven martyrs and around 30 injured were reported during the armed attack carried out by the “Lebanese Forces” militiamen on peaceful protestors in Tayouneh area. The protesters were demonstrating against the politicized decisions of Al-Bitar.
On August 4, 2020, a massive blast rocked Beirut Port blast, killing around 195 citizens and injuring over 6000 of others. The explosion also caused much destruction in the capital and its suburbs.
