The Lebanese prime minister, Najib Mikati, held a number of meetings with Arab and international leaders, on the margins of the Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in order to address the diplomatic crisis with Saudi.
In this context, Mikati met with the Qatari Emir Tmim bin al Thani, who vowed to send his foreign minister, Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, to Beirut in order to discuss the means of supporting Lebanon in the various domains.
Al-Thani is also expected to tackle the ongoing crisis between Lebanon and the Gulf countries.
Mikati also met with his Kuwait counterpart, Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Saudi has decided to cut the diplomatic ties with Lebanon under the pretext of old remarks made by the information minister, George Kordahi, about KSA war on Yemen. UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait followed the same path, escalating the diplomatic attack on Lebanon.
