Yemeni armed forces are stepping up attacks on Saudi targets in retaliation to continuous aggression on the Arab impoverished country.
Yemen Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on Friday that Yemeni drones hot King Khaled air base in Saudi’s Khamis Mushait.
Qassef-2k drones accurately hit several targets in Khaled air base, Saree said in remarks carried by Yemeni media.
He stressed that the strike comes as part of legitimate right to retaliate to the brutal aggression by the Saudi-led coalition.
Earlier on Thursday night, Saree said a sizeable drone squad was launched by Yemeni forces onto a training camp located in southwestern Saudi Arabia, killing and injuring scores of Saudi-led mercenaries and the Saudi military’s own officers.
The attack took place two days earlier against a military training camp based in the Saudi region of Najran’s al-Wadiah area, he said.
“The operation was carried out using 10 Qasef-2K drones. It targeted the command center, training sections, and other parts of the barracks,” the spokesman stated.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally. Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
