The report added that 16749 PCR tests were conducted during the past 48 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 445163.

According to the report, 28 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 7118.

Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut gradually. The health ministry announced on Saturday that Lebanon received the 11th shipment of Pfizer vaccines carrying 47970 doses and that the total number of Pfizer shots, Lebanon received, reached 439920.

In this context, the report noted that 273748 citizens received the first shot of the vaccine, adding that the second shot have been given to 146480 of them.
