The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Saturday its daily report in which it announced 2705 new coronavirus cases, 2679 of them for locals and 26 for the arrivals, raising total to 494633.
The report added that 20288 PCR tests were conducted during the past 48 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 402279.
According to the report, 38 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 6630.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut gradually. In this context, the report noted that 196459 citizens received the first shot Pfizer vaccine, adding that the second shot have been given to 103611 of them.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Caretaker Health Minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, hailed Kuwait donation specialized to fund construction of public hospitals in Baalbek-Hermel and Akkar provinces, congratulating the local residents of the two areas on this achievements.
