The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Saturday its daily report in which it announced 2253 new coronavirus cases, 2213 of them for locals and 40 for the arrivals, raising total to 436575.
The report added that 20816 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 343078.
According to the report, 51 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 5715.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut on a weekly basis. Moreover, on March 8, the country started a new phase of a comprehensive plan to ease a total lockdown and reopen the economic sectors which took into effect on the eight of the same month.
