The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Saturday its daily report in which it announced 3523 new coronavirus cases, 3512 of them for locals and 11 for the arrivals, , raising total to 415362.
The report added that 20874 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 325818.
According to the report, 56 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 5334.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut on a weekly basis. Moreover, on March 8, the country started a new phase of a comprehensive plan to ease a total lockdown and reopen the economic sectors which took into effect on the eight of the same month.
Head of the National Committee for Vaccination, Dr. Abdel-Rahman Al-Bizri, told Al-Manar that Lebanon will accelerate the vaccination process, adding that the private sector would be allowed to import vaccines.
