Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Charbel Wehbe, and within the framework of the ministry’s diplomatic efforts in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic, on Thursday contacted Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, over the possibility of providing Lebanon with 200,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses to vaccinate 100,000 people “in the form of a gift to the Lebanese state from the Russian government” and “as a gesture that expresses the depth of the historical friendship between Russia and Lebanon.”
On the other hand, Minister Wehbe welcomed earlier on Thursday Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Wang Kejian. The pair discussed bilateral issues of concern to both countries, especially their mutual support at the United Nations.
