The Lebanese Caretaker Health Minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, was admitted to hospital after testing positive for the coronavirus, St. George Hospital said in a statement.
The hospital, where the minister is undergoing the medical treatment, also reassured the public about Dr. Hasan’s medical situation, describing it as good and wishing a speedy recovery for him.
Lebanon has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of the coronavirus infections with a total of 226948 cases, imposing a total lockdown which starts on January 14 and lasts for 11 days.
The Health Minister has reiterated that Lebanon will obtain two million shots of Pfizer vaccine in February.
