Al-Manar TV mourned colleague Ali Al-Mismar, who passed away on Monday at dawn after a long struggle with cancer.

Ali Al-Mismar’s coffin was raised by his colleagues inside the headquarters of the Channel in Beirut’s Southern Suburb as they bid farewell to the colleague whom they loved and shared the Resistance media journey with him.

The corpse of the colleague reached on Monday his hometown, Hermel, where he will be buried on Tuesday.

The late colleague was hardworking and had his distinguished fingerprints at the channel, particularly during the July 2006 Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

Al-Mismar had undergone a medical treatment for cancer throughout the past two years and returned last September to his work at Al-Manar channel, but his health conditions worsened, so he was on leave recently and passed away early Monday at 1 a.m.

Hajj Ali is considered as one of the resistance advocates in the media arena, who have embraced the resistance and fought the struggle side by side with the resistance fighters.

He had a long journey in different media institutions including Al-Manar TV, Al-Fajr TV, Al-Nour Radio and Al-Mostadafin Radio.

Many media outlets, political figures, social media activists and influencers offered condolences on his demise, describing him as “the voice of the resistance”.

Among those who mourned him, too, were Lebanese colleagues and friends as well as media outlets and channels. The media office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also issued a statement in which it offered its deepest condolences on the demise of Al-Mismar.

Member of the loyalty to the resistance front MP Ibrahim Al-Mousawi mourned Al-Mismar, tweeting, “We belong to God and to Him we shall return. We have been afflicted with your loss. We ask God to grant you mercy, forgiveness and satisfaction in his vast paradise with the prophets, martyrs, and righteous ones.”

In a statement issued on Monday, Al-Manar Channel mourned him offering his family its deepest condolences, asking God the Almighty to give his family patience and solace.
