The General Security Chief, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, stressed on Wednesday that the Lebanese army and security forces are capable of maintaining the security of the entire country despite the “limited violations caused by the deteriorating living conditions”.

General Ibrahim made his remarks after a meeting with the Maronite Patriarch Beshara Al-Rahi whom he congratulated on the occasion of the holidays.

General Security Chief pointed out that poverty may push some people to commit offenses, reassuring that this would not turn to a case of anarchy.
