Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday welcomed Lebanese Central Bank Governor, Riad Salameh, with whom he discussed the financial situation and stressed the need for the implementation of laws approved in Parliament, especially those involving forensic and financial audit, the fight against corruption, and squandering public funds.
The House Speaker extended his heartfelt holiday wishes to the Lebanese, hoping that this occasion will witness the new birth of Lebanon, “the homeland, the message, and the human.”
Speaker Berri later met with Caretaker Energy Minister, Raymond Ghajar, who briefed him on the details and results of his Iraq visit.
