Lebanese caretaker Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hassan, told the “Independent Arabia” daily that Lebanon has ordered 2 million Pfizer anti-Covid-19 vaccines.
“A national committee for coronavirus vaccine has been formed two weeks ago. One if its main tasks, is to distribute the vaccine for people at high risk if the virus infection like those who work in the health field and the elders.”
The Minister explained that vaccines would be free of charge for those at higher risk for virus infection.
He added that these vaccines would arrive in Lebanon in the first quarter of 2021.
Hasan, meanwhile, noted that the ministry will facilitate the import of any vaccine that will be approved by WHO, FDA, EMA and other international health agencies.
