The Lebanese minister of public health, Dr. Hamad Hasan, announced Thursday specializing 80 more beds at the private hospitals for the coronavirus patients, vowing to specialize 256 more beds at the public hospitals for the same target.
Dr. Hasan stressed that paying the hospitals’ dues is a historical achievement, noting that curbing the increase of the coronavirus cases requires time and patience.
Lebanon started on Saturday a two-week lockdown over the pandemic concerns after witnessing a sharp surge in the infections and deaths with a total of 110037 and 852 respectively.
