The Yemeni air force launched early Tuesday a drone attack on a military target in Abha airport in the Saudi city of Asir.
The spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, General Yahya Sarea, issued a brief statement in which he announced the attack, adding Qasef (K2) drone was used in the operation.
General Sarea added that the target was accurately hit, confirming that such attacks will continue as long as the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen does.
The Yemeni air force had waged on Sunday and Monday similar attacks on the Saudi airports and airbases in Jizan, Asir, and Khamis Msheit.
Yemen has been since March 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led Coalition, in a bid to restore control to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is Riyadh’s ally.
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured in the strikes launched by the coalition, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
The coalition, which includes in addition to Saudi Arabia and UAE: Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Kuwait, has been also imposing a harsh blockade against Yemenis.
