Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Mustapha Adib urged different political powers in the country to facilitate the formation of the new government.
In a statement, Adib highlighted the importance of the French initiative, calling for adopting it with no delay.
“Lebanon does not have the luxury of wasting time amid the unprecedented crises it is facing at all financial, monetary, economic, social and healthcare levels,” he was quoted as saying by National News Agency.
“The tribulations of the Lebanese (…) entail the cooperation of all sides in order to facilitate the formation of a government with a determined plan, and which all sides have already pledged to back,” Adib stressed.
The PM-designate explained that this government must be formed of experts and must be capable of ending the current deterioration and crises, stressing that he will continue cooperating with the president of the republic to achieve this goal.
