The Lebanese Speaker of the House Nabih Berri told lawmakers during Wednesday regular meeting that the climate of the Cabinet formation is positive, hoping that the “small hindrances” would be surmounted in the nearest time possible.

“There is a workshop awaiting the government formation, on top of which studying and endorsing a new election law,” the MPs quoted the Speaker as saying.

Separately, Berri received cables upon the 73rd anniversary of Lebanon’s independence from his Pakistani counterpart Ayaz Sadiq and the Secretary General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Nayef Hawatmeh.
