Lebanon recorded on Friday 4 new coronavirus cases, raising the total infections nationwide to 729.
Lebanese Health Ministry announced in its daily report that of the 4 new cases three for Lebanese residents, while the fourth was registered for a Lebanese expatriate who returned home recently as part of Beirut’s operation to repatriate Lebanese expatriates in corona-hit countries.
It added that 1550 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, noting that 370 tests were conducted for expatriates.
The ministry added, meanwhile that no new deaths related to the COVID-19 contagious disease were reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the death toll at 24.
Lebanese Health Ministry has been in the last week intensifying random PCR tests across the Lebanese regions. The number of daily tests conducted earlier was below 1,000. However, Health Minister Hamad Hasan said the ministry will raise the number to 1,500.
On the other hand, the number of recovery cases has gone up to 192, after it was 150 on Thursday.
