Nine new cases of the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Lebanon by the Ministry of Public Health in a statement on Tuesday, raising the tally of infected people in the country to 641.
The ministry confirmed one new coronavirus death, raising their total to 21.
According to the report, 911 PCR tests were done during the past 24 hours, including 527 for the residents and 384 for the arrivals.
No Covid-19 cases have been recorded among the Lebanese expatriates who returned to Beirut on April 13, 2020 from Paris, Jeddah, and Gabon as announced by the Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday.
Despite testing negative, the MoPH requested of returning expats to undergo strict home quarantine for 14 days.
Lebanon has so far evacuated around 2500 expats from various corona-hit countries around the world, setting for two more evacuation stages on April 27 and May 4.
