Lebanese Health Ministry announced Friday 14 new novel coronavirus cases, taking the total infections nationwide to 508.
In its daily report, the ministry said: “To date (April 3, 2020), 508 cases have been confirmed by the Hariri University Hospital and accredited university hospital laboratories, in addition to private laboratories, marking an increase of 14 cases since yesterday.”
It noted that 644 tests have been conducted over the past twenty-four hours, National News Agency (NNA) reported.
Meanwhile, the ministry recorded one more death caused by the virus, also known as COVID-19, rising the death toll in the country to 17.
Lebanon has been under a lockdown since March 15, with its airport, seaports and land borders shutting down as of March 19 in measures aimed at stemming the spread of coronavirus. The decision of general mobilization has been extended last week until April 12.
