The Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri denounced on Wednesday the overnight riot in Hamra street, adding that unknown people carried out the attack on the capital.
The Internal Security Forces indicated Wednesday that 47 of its members had been injured in last night’s clashes in the Beirut locality of Hamra, while 59 individuals had been arrested on suspicion of involvement in yesterday’s riots.
During the weekly meeting with the members of the parliament, Speaker Berri reviewed the latest developments related to the cabinet formation process.
The Speakers’ sources reported that he is awaiting the PM-designate Hassan Diab to take the initiative and benefit from the positive developments in this regard in order to announce the final formation.
