Prime Minister Saad Hariri visited Baabda palace for talks with President Michel Aoun over the latest developments and current situation, in addition to the state budget issue.
“I discussed with the President general affairs in the country, mainly the ongoing efforts aimed to mitigate the fallout of Qabrshmoun incident,” Hariri said following the meeting.
“Things are positive; Major General Abbas Ibrahim has worked relentlessly in that respect and everybody is collaborating,” he continued.
“We must focus on economy and cease talking politics,” he added.
“Political shouts and mobilization are useless,” he stressed.
“What happened was not nothing; but with composure, it can be resolved,” he said.
On the Cabinet sessions, Hariri said: “There is no disruption of the Council of Ministers; I am the one who requested to postpone the [last] Cabinet meeting because the climate was tense.”
“Nothing will stop the Cabinet sessions,” he underlined.
