Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has offered his condolences over the demise of Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi.
In his message on Tuesday, Imam Khamenei expressed grief over the demise of Ayatollah Shahroudi suffering from a long-standing painful illness.
The Leader also condoled with the senior cleric’s wife, children, and the rest of his family, wishing God’s mercy and forgiveness for Ayatollah Shahroudi.
Imam Khamenei praised Aytollah Shahroudi as a great scholar in the seminary of Qom and a loyal official with the most important organizations of the Islamic Republic.
