Zionist F-16 war jet crashed on Wednesday in the “Mitsbah Ramon” area during the landing, leaving the pilot killed, Channel Ten reported.

It added that the pilot’s assistant was not hurt.

According to the Zionist channel, the jet has crashed near Ramon airstrip after returning from an air strike against the Gaza Strip Wednesday afternoon.

Media outlets said that a defect in the warplane caused flames inside it. The pilot then decided to jump out of the plane with his assistant. The former has died while the latter was slightly injured.

Zionist Air Force formed a commission of inquiry to investigate into the incident.
