Syrian army continued on Wednesday carrying out operations against terrorist organizations in several areas across the country.
In Damascus Countryside, the national military managed to control 8 blocks of buildings to the southwest of Tal Abu Siyyeh in Khan al-Shih area in the western Damascus Countryside after eliminating the last remaining gatherings of terrorists in it.
Another army unit killed more than 30 terrorists and destroyed 12 of their vehicles in al-Darkhabieh, while other units thwarted terrorists’ attempt to attack a number of military posts in Jobar neighborhood, Erbin, Tal al-Sawan, and Hatitet al-Jarash in the eastern Damascus Countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
In Daraa, an army unit carried out intensive operations against gatherings and hotbeds of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa al-Balad area.
A military source told SANA that a position for terrorists in al-Abbasyieh neighborhood was destroyed in the operations and a number of them were killed in Daraa al-Balad area.
In Homs/Hama, a military unit carried out a number of ambushes in areas where terrorist groups carried out infiltration attempts between Salamyieh countryside and al-Rastan area, confiscating a huge amount of munitions that were prepared to be smuggled to al-Rastan.
In Deir Ezzor, military forces destroyed positions, gatherings and vehicles of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) terrorist group in the neighborhoods of al-Omal, al-Jubaila, al-Roshdieh, al-Howaika, to the west of Tal Barouk and to the east of Deir Ezzor Airport.
